Multilingual Support in Dramatica and Narrova
Dramatica (formerly Subtxt) is built for a global audience, supporting interaction in multiple languages such as French, Spanish, and Mandarin. Use the options below to tune responses across the platform and in Narrova.
Get a single reply in another language
IMPORTANT
For one-off replies, state the language you want directly in your prompt so Dramatica treats it as an explicit request.
Example: "Can you explain the Four Throughlines to me in Mandarin?"
Set a default language through your profile
- Open Settings (person icon, upper right) and choose Profile.
- In All About Me, add a preference such as "Please always respond in French."
- Use Stories I Write to note project-specific preferences like "Prefer Spanish when I interact with Narrova."
Profile guidance becomes the global default across Dramatica, so Narrova will honor it without repeating the request in every conversation.
Lock in persistent behavior with Narrova Personas
- Go to Settings → Narrova Personas and turn on Personas.
- Open your Core instructions and add the language directive you want Narrova to enforce (e.g., "No matter what, always answer in French.").
- Back in Narrova, select that Persona before you start or continue a conversation.
Use Personas when you want consistent language handling across all conversations or agents without editing your prompts each time.
Language flexibility
You can swap languages whenever you need—whether it's a single reply, a profile-level default, or a Persona that keeps Narrova anchored to one language. Dramatica will maintain Dramatica terminology (Throughline, Storyform, Storybeat, etc.) while responding in your chosen language.
