Overviews
Overviews give you a quick read on how your Storyform translates into the narrative you intend to share. After locking in the subtext beneath the universal gradient arc, Overviews help you Surface those decisions into approachable storytelling summaries.
What Overviews reveal
- Story-at-a-glance – Review loglines, conflict statements, and thematic summaries that are automatically informed by your Storyform selections.
- Perspective alignment – Confirm that each Throughline reinforces the same big idea, and that the Outcome, Judgment, and Driver feel consistent across perspectives.
- Change tracking – Because NarrativeSync keeps the entire story in step, Overviews immediately reflect any adjustments you make elsewhere in Develop.
Working inside Overviews
- Start by scanning the summaries generated from your current Storyform. Anything marked with the gradient arc icon highlights subtext you have already locked in.
- Use the storytelling fields to restate those choices in your own words. You are now Surfacing the subtext, so feel free to experiment with voice and tone.
- If an overview no longer matches your intent, jump back into the relevant Storypoint. Refining the subtext first ensures the storytelling stays grounded.
TIP
Treat Overviews as living summaries. Check them before sharing updates with collaborators so everyone sees the same succinct snapshot of where the story stands.
